How to Transfer a Domain
Not sure how to transfer your domain without breaking your site and email? Just follow a few simple steps: unlock the domain at your current registrar, get the authorization code, update your contact information if needed, and approve the transfer once the request reaches us. We'll guide you through every step.
Almost every provider locks domains by default, so the first step is unlocking yours for transfer. Also check that your WHOIS contact email is correct, because the transfer request has to be approved from that address.

International and Country-Code Domains
Not every extension follows the same rules. Generic extensions like .com, .net, and .org follow ICANN's standard process, while country-code extensions like .uk, .ca, and .de are run by their own registries and may have extra requirements, such as a local presence or a different auth code format.
